Happy 65th mama

Happy...happy birthday mum! My mother do the cooking while me I'm do the washing. And it was a reunion with them with her sisters because they met seldom. They are enjoying. Since I have some old cloths used shoes and sandals I better give it to them so that it will still be useful that will not stock here. They are so happy...And while waiting counting down before the New Year we pray and candlellight for the good spirit. Ready or not we will welcome the year of the RAT!!

Bulk Buying

Two days to go before New year! Well, tomorrow is my mum's birthday I'm baking a banana cake and also I made some chicken macaroni salad. My mother told us bulk buying can help save...grocery! But it she said it's a little scary at first. How she will use this all? How will she will store it? things that can be at rum temperature can be stored under beds, in closets, anaywhere like canned goods. Flour can be frozen , then stored in airtime containers at rum temperature. She get these all idea from her friends. And now she shared with us because sooner or later if we will get married we know the alternative ways how to stores what you have brought in the grocery. Holiday seasons...

I feel bored :( I text my friends and I ask her we will go to the mall , she told me since it's her last day of her work we will meet. I went to the institution where I work before we met my friends there Maricor gave me a blouse and I really like it. Then again I suggest we will eat at KFC because I really love to eat there classic chicken burger so yummy ;) We talk things because she will be leaving this coming Jan 05,2008 going to Spain. I advise her just bring some of your cloths , anyways I think your employers will provide you some specially now a days it's winter there. I receive not nice to heard news from a friends. It's all about the father of my son. His such a jerk and I hate him!!! "Lord your will be done to that kind of person"you how I felt. He can deny to everybody but he deep inside he knows he has a son from Cebu! How could he dare to deny his own son??? Anyways , I do believe in KARMA! 25th of Dec

Me, Candy and Aillien we go to the church at Sto Rosario we attend the 4 p.m mass. After at the church Candy she wants to the mall she will buy ticket for iloilo they will leave tomorrow with her mum. To visit her in-laws. But the ticketing office at Ayala was closed she went to SM.Aillien and I we buy some chips. I sleep early because this few days I was not able to sleep my regular or normal time. Because of the holidays!

ho!ho!ho! Merry Christmas

Wake up call from my friends Aillien. Around 8 a.m we went to the market it was a showery morning. And it so messy at the market! Well... We buy 3 scented candles and also we buy this 7 colours candles it was said in the piece of paper inside the plastic of the candle. ( At exactly 11:30 p.m. on Dec 31 of every year, light all candles. Each candle symbolizes various aspects of life like Peace, Wealth, Health, etc. put out at 12 midnight and arrange from smallest to biggest. The candle that melts the quickest symbolizes the good fortune that the New Year will bring your followed by the rest.) Red- for Life , Blue - Peace , Yellow - Good Spirit , Green - Money , Pink- Health and Orange - for Brightness. That's it! Anyways it's up to you if you will believe or NOT! I directly go to Aillien's house we take our lunch together. Then I help her to prepare her ingredients for fruits salad and for the spaghetti and also for the lumpia. Then I teach her everything what to do first in making a spaghetti and making a lumpia and how to roll the ground meat at the lumpia wrapper. We made it and it was a yummy creamy spaghetti ;) Midnight the 2 candles in the table my father light it up. My family been busy opening their presents. I was fun and enjoying. We taking pictures also.hey camera addict! ho!ho!ho!ho! Merry Christmas to everybody.

Late Night

This morning Aillien called she ask me to go with her tomorrow at the market she will buy something for their "Noche Buena". She asked me to help her or teach her how to cook. I just stay home the whole day. We're planning what food to prepare tomorrow. At late night I'm watching TV and while watching I clean the house because I know tomorrow I will go with my friends Aillien at the market. I arrange the living room and the dinning room because I have idea I want to put up some scented candles in the table or somewhere in the living room.

Wise Shoppers

Everybody is preparing for the Christmas party. This afternoon I went to the downtown to buy something for my cousins. In downtown I can find more cheaper prize compare to the prize in the mall or department store. Now a days we should be a wise shopper. Traffic jam in downtown also it take 3o min. killing time!! I enjoy shopping and buying those small things for girls like earings, neaklace and etc. and also toys for the boys.

Done my Shopping

I'm done my shopping :) This morning Lorenz and I we went to the orphanage just to give the Christmas gift to my friends. She was surprise she have a Christmas gift from me. After there we went to church and then we met my friends Gloria. She buying lots of toy for her nephews. And we decide to go home because lots of shoppers. I rest for awhile I'm tired. In a few minutes I ckeck my blog but still I dont have a task. While doing my blog I'm also talking to my friends Gray and watching TV. I wait the program ellen I really like to see ellen because she's so funny.

Best Christmas gift

This is the best Christmas gift I ever receive. And I would like to say thank you to the person who really makes me happy. Riza and I we went to SM mall we start buying our presents for our family and friends. It's hard to choice special their are lots of shopper and it's a long line for the counter to pay. Since I dont know how to wrap thanks god in the mall they have a free gift wrapping. I'm save! yeahhh

Christmas Traffic

Bumper to bumper Christmas traffic going to downtown until uptown. wow that will take 30 min. Well, it's normal for us Filipinos do the last minute shopping. I'm going to downtown with Lorenz I bring water and face towel for him because all the sweat not only the cars and jeepney bumper to bumper also the people :(

Patience

I just stay home and of course I'm been checking my blog. Hoping they will give me a task. Even though our computer is not working that will because we only using the dial up that only takes 41.2 kbps that was so...patience is all I need for our computer. hehehe :) I prepare not to go out today because I don't have any important things to do outside and I don't have enough money if I will do my shopping today. I rather sleep the whole afternoon. And really get a good afternoon sleep.

Friendship Ring

Pamela and Bernadette we meet at the mall. I'm surprise Pamela give me as her Christmas present a silver friendship ring and Bernadette give sandal for my son. I never expect anything that day from them. So I was thinking what I'll can give them as my Christmas gift also. I text my sister to come with me , we will go somewhere in downtown. Their are lot's of shoppers buying and it was so crowded, plus Lorenz is with us also. Well, it was fun shopping and selecting items for our friends and families. How many days to go...Christmas is coming!

How I wish!

What a beautiful Sunday morning!! I'm thinking how many days before Christmas and I want to go shopping buy something for my family and Friends, but I don't have money to buy a Christmas gift for them .Well for me not all gifts are under the Christmas tree.Most of them found in the...HEART! Anyways as long we're together and happy.Next month is already 2008 year of the rat! Hope and pray all my wishes will come true. And of course peace on earth, happiness and good health for everybody. I was not able to go to the church to hear mass. I just stay home the whole day check my mail and of course my blog. It's raining and it's so nice to sleep this kind of weather. Zzz

Family Day

Again we wake up early.Today is the Family Day celebration at their school.This one week affair will culminate and will highlighted to all of us both home and school.This will strengthen our bonding to the teachers , students or pupils and we the parents. During the event they have mass, games, program and dining together or "Salu-salo" the raffle draw and BINGO SOCIAL. For dining together every parents we have to bring our own food and drinks to be shared for everybody. It was a fun event with the parents, teachers and the students. The whole day event! My friends Maricor called me it's her birthday today she invited us for a dinner.

Dance Palabas for K1

I wake up early this morning around 5 a.m because I have to prepare my self early. Today is their dance palabas because they are the first one to perform. They dance in the music of under the sea, it was a fishy and colorful for the kindergarten 1& 2. I was so excited to saw my son dancing. Because what can you expect at their age they can't make their dance perfect at least they try their best. All the parents they are so happy watching their kids dancing with their head dress...fish! This afternoon me, mom and Lorenz we went to downtown she buy something for this coming Christmas. Ci re called. Miss us and I told... see you soon hopefully next year.

Fine morning

It was a fine morning. I check my blog and mail. Well, still waiting to have a task! It really help a lot. Even though I'm a stay home mom in the same time I'm earning. I feel Sad

I have to wake up early as 5:30 a.m this morning because it was the opening of their intramural at their school. It was a fine morning for us but in a few minutes I feel dizzy maybe because I don't get enough sleep last night.Anyways the programs was so nice watching those kids dancing with their attires. I try to called Gloria because I have something to ask about the task I post last night. I felt so bad for i though i made it successfully I was wrong! but I think I need Gloria's help this time it seems she has a problem. I'm been waiting Gloria to come to visit.

I take my son to their school around 12:30 noon. They have a dance practice in preparing for their intramurals this coming December 11-15. Alone...

Window shopping at the mall alone. It‘s so sad for how many year I don’t have a partner. Anyway, I enjoy even though I’m alone walking at the mall. I buy birthday cards. At the mall I already see some people buying boxes, Christmas wrappers and Christmas cards. For the Filipinos no crises, because we really celebrate Christmas, all the preparation we will do unlike other countries. In our place I already heard singing the Christmas carols. In our house we don’t have any decoration yet. I planned maybe next week I will put some Christmas decoration in our house.hehehe

Cyclone will Hit Phil.area again!

As I open the radio this morning typhoon named Nonoy will hit the Philippine area this coming Thursday “God forbid”. But still we will prepare some candles and foods, because we never now. As usual as a mother I have to prepare some things for Lorenz school. After I take him to their school I will find black gloves for their in coming intramurals. I received a surprise call. He just wants to say “hi”.

NoT IN the MOOD

It was not a good Sunday morning for me. My back makes me sick. Last night I ask my cousin to massage my back. But still I can’t move my head to the left. As what my sister advise me do stretching, I did already! Plus I have my period. I ‘m not in the mood. I stay in our room lying on the bed. I let Lorenz to get inside in our room because we will study his lesson for tomorrow. He is not good in Math and Filipino subject. Even though he is not in the top ten lists anymore, still I encourage him. You can make it next time just study hard!

A Surprise Call

I was surprise my cousin called me from Korea. We chat and do photo sharing. She told me she really missed her family and of course us her cousin. As I remember we met when I was 14 year old. That was long long time ago. I ask her to find me a job in Korea. She said “she will invite me to go there as tourist” that’s for 3 months staying there. She has lots of friends who can help her to find me a job.Anyways that’s one of my planned, if God’s will...I don’t have the money to spend to go there. Since there is a blog , I rather stay and do blogging.And I will not be apart from my son and family. I enjoy talking with my cousin.

When is The Last Time?

Yesterday afternoon I attended a symposium “Parenting the Child” and “Childing the Parent” It was a nice seminar for us parents. These questions catch my attention. When is the last time you kiss and hug your child? When is the last time you said I love you to your child? And when is the last time you say sorry to your son? Me, as a mother and the same time his father I always feel to him that his not alone even though he didn’t see his father. Tomorrow is the distribution of grade slip “I told him don’t worry this 2nd quarter you’re not in the top ten list, I know you can make in the next quarter”. I will not pressure him to his study habit. Slowly but surely!

I Feel Sick

I feel I’m sick today! My back hurt me so much. And I have to take my son to their school. I have no choice I better go back home to take some rest. I don’t feel like to go out because it’s raining “cat’s and dog again!” Ewww. What a wet and slippery afternoon. When we got home I directly check my blog and my mail. I feel sad because I don’t have a task for this week. Hope and pray they will give me so that I have some money to spend this coming Christmas.

So that I can wash some of my laundry.hehehe now early in the morning Lorenz he watch T.V because last night he told me he already miss to watch his favorite cartoon movies at CN. Today I planned to go to downtown to canvas some RTW for our small business with my sister. It’s hard if you don’t have enough money. Brown Out

Today still the sun is hiding! Anyways it’s already season month of November and December is rainy and typhoon season.Because of the strong wind last monday afternoon we don't have power electricity until now.grrrr After I take my son to their school I meet one of my old friends her named is Hershey. We went to the mall there we talk a lot. My friends Gloria text me the kinder will be shorten their class today. I ask Hershey I better go, just keep in touch. Maybe due to the weather. When we got home still we don’t have power electricity. I let Lorenz eat early so that we can sleep early too. Power electricity back around 9:00 p.m.

Terrible Moday afternoon

Strong wind hit Cebu City. Timing I decide Lorenz will not go to school today. Because of his hard cough plus he has colds and fever. Then we don’t have electricity it was brown out. My parents panic because that was already a typhoon! Some roof was flying and some glass of the building broken. That was a terrible Monday afternoon!

Hi- Way To Heaven

I wake up early. Because my friends Bernadette and Pamela they want me to go with them. They planned to go to Simala. At the south bus terminal there we ride bus going to Simala. Oh my God! What is this hi- way to heaven? It seems I’m riding a roller coaster. I hold my son tightly. Until we reach at Simala. First time for Lorenz travels that far and he enjoy. We bring some snacks and drinks. Every time when Mother Mary’s birthday comes she made some miracle like shedding of tears on her face. That’s my 3rd time visiting there. We also attend the 10:30 am mass. I like the homily. The word for today is “there is wisdom in patience”.

Yahoo. Thanks God I have two tasks! 40 days before Christmas, hope and pray they will give me more and more task. I’m so happy today. Before anything else I will do my daily routine first. Preparing his uniform and snack. Laundry his used clothes. And after I take Lorenz to their school that’s the time I will do my task. Around 4:45 pm I will fetch him. After school we went to the Mall. I buy something for his snacks for tomorrow. We arrived around 7:00 pm.

What a news

As I wake up this morning I heard bad news. There was a blast in the house of congress. So what can you expect? Lot’s of people hurt that explosion. What kind of country we have you can’t read or heard good news for the headlines. Killing is everywhere. Why they can’t stop hurting people and doing such nasty thing to their works? Hope and pray we have peace in this world. Sad to hear early in the morning we can hear this kind of news. Wow that makes me awake!

Gosh! Here I am again I feel bored. I planned after I take Lorenz to their school I will go to the mall. Toink! It’s raining cats and dog. I better go back to the house and sleep. Around 3:45 pm I fetch Lorenz .I’m not feeling will I feel dizzy, maybe this is already the result I slept late the other day. Tonight it was a great night for us with my friends. Because one of my friend, she’s celebrating her 27th birthday. Aillien , preparing a food for us. Even though she’s not in her mood. Our Pet Fish

Having a pet is fun! My son called our pet fish”Karaho”. Karaho is a flower horn fish. I clean his aquarium and I give food every other day. He ate small fish and fish food. Karaho he would swim around his aquarium fast and jump as he could to catch his food. We loved to watch him eat. He snapped the food up as fast as it dropped. He grew bigger each month. We really have fun with our fish pet. We also have dog and cat in the house. Dog help to watch over night and cat to catch some mice, little zoo!! hahahaha

Halloween Party

Halloween party at the roof top. This is the first time ever happened we celebrating the Halloween. Normally we visit to the graves and saying special prayers to our departed loved ones.All are in dress. Most of us are wearing black. I'm the lady Dracula , we have fairy, black ladies and devil. We enjoy and we are having fun .For our food we only have Bar-B-Que, grilled chicken , rice , cola and chips. I have read an article and I find interesting..Specially the all souls day is approaching!! About Jack 'O Lantern..Who's Jack 'O Lantern and what does he have to do with All Souls' Day and Halloween?? The carving faces on pumpkin skins popular all over the world.right? There are many different versions of the story behind it. In America , however, the carved pumpkin was associated with the harvest season before it became one of the greatest spooks. My son ask me what's happened to that squash. I explain to him that they will makes carving faces on that squash for the Halloween.Because scary pumpkin head not as popular in Philippines. Aside from the fact that our squashes are not as big as those pumpkins. Halloween in our country is celebrated differently. We filipinos we celebrating the All Saints' and Souls' Days instead of the Halloween. It is the day we filipinos remember our departed loved ones in expceptional ways such as paying visits to the graves and saying special prayers. We light candles and offer flowers.

Toddlers

I work as a caregiver one of the institution here in Cebu City. I am assigned at the nursery department in the toddlers. There are ten kids ages 1 year old to 4 years old. As we all know kids are so restless. Their daily routines are playing , sleeping and eating. I play with them and I teach them on how to sing , dance, some values , proper way on how to use spoon and fork and the toilet train. . The kids are so innocence of what life they have.

It's my day off and I visit the kids. I'm having fun with them. They are so behave cause I promise to give something to those who will obey. Alex and Emman these two kids are very naughty.Emman wants to play his popoo.His so spoiled to our sister in charge. Sr. Gertrude ,she a nice person. But one thing I don't like with her she is one sided. My eight hours I spend my time with these kids, sometimes I feel guilty with my son Lorenz . I don't have enough time with him anymore. But I explain to him , those kids in the institution need love. Lorenz's friend, named Jersy.

My only Lorenz

that's my boy, Lorenz kyle. At his age I'm so proud of him. His one of the top ten in their class. His in K-1 blues. He wants to go to school everyday he don't want to missed their lesson. His a friendly little boy whatever he have his willing to give and he let them barrow. Lorenz , love to play buzz lightyear and toy cars. . His the only little boy in the house so what can you expect, at that age moody and restless. His picky that's why he didn't gain a lot. He know how to appreciate "mama you look beautiful today."he pray before he go to bed. He wants to be hug, cause he can't sleep..he will tell me mama love..love cause he want to be hug.His so sweet little boy. Being the first grandson of course all the attention and a love from his Tito, ti ta ,lo lo and lola. Ready to school.

Every 13th of the month they have special mass for the sick the healing mass. You can write your prayer petition to Mama Mary. Inside the chapel they have lot's of testimony. Believe it or not even the cancer patients. When I saw those letters Oh my God! my hair stand. Strong faith with her there's no impossible.right?The place is so nice with fresh air.You can reflect your sins and talk to Mama Mary all the pains, ache and sorrow you have.And of course ask for the guidance..feel good! We are having fun in the same time taking pictures with my sisters friends. We bring food and snacks cause the food there is so expensive they double the price. We left there around 3 PM.Going back to the city we take Ceres bus..

A Joy To Elders

Lorenz he is a joy to us, to his Lolos, Lola’s, Titos and Titas, especially if he is in his
Mood and he is fun to be around. Sometime we call him our baby but he doesn’t want to be called baby because his already 5 years old his little boy. The children/kids of the family provide hope, laughter, and a sense of innocence and good will. Babies/kids

Every now and then I mention him about his father but at his age he doesn’t show interest yet. I’m proud of him. Lorenz, he knows how to appreciate things. He always makes fun with his friends. Every time we take picture he always make funny faces.

2nd@Digital

Our second day in this course Digital Media. We finish the assignment he give us.Sir Sam our trainor checked our work. He never expect we easily get what he assigned to us. Anyways , I really enjoy doing this work. At least for my two days I have some knowledge about Digital Media and basic slide shows presentation. Like us OFW's some of us don't want to go to work overseas or to be apart from our family. So we can think a business that really makes money.. For me this is a good business to try. But it takes time cause you will edit video and picture also.You must be a hard worker.

One of the course offered by the OW WA/DOLE Digital Media Fundamental. I feel

this course is so exciting. The course is all about designed, capture, manipulate and refine

music , photos and video. In this course , teach us how to work the Movie maker to

capture video and audio. And edit video clips and save and send movie. Today is

my first day. I'm eager to listen and learn this course. This is so useful now a days

just like those taking video in the wedding or any occasions this is what they used. who knows!

For my first day so far...Our train or give us an assignment we will download some pictures and we will do the presentation with audio,graphics and a slide show. wow! I enjoy doing the presentation...

Internet and World Wide Web Fundamentals. This course teaches us how to explore the Web, use search engines, and work with electronic mail (email), and create Web pages with Microsoft FrontPage. This course is very useful especially for the OFW’s. This is how they can communicate their families there in abroad. That’s why their program called TULAY-meaning a bridge to connect us or our families wherever they are...Here and all over the world. And this is the cheapest ways and hi-tech. We even meet new friends where ever we want. Internet it helps our kids for their education like project and research. But need supervise/guide what your children are doing online. They might meet through pedophiles or cybertlker. This morning I learn something about this course. Then we start to open our email and our yahoo messenger.
Everything in the Net we can search and download Videos and pictures. And I open the YOU TUBE website I enjoy watching the PD RC video.

2nd day@OWWA

Second day. I came early , while waiting for the others to come, Sir Sam said we can use the computer. In a few minutes he start his discussion proper. He introduce us the hardware and the software.And then he give us some of their functions. Inside the laboratory it's so very cold. Instead of listening I channeled my self to other activities like chatting and browsing the Internet and so I open my friendster account I saw my long lost friend Mishel. When I take a glimpse I'm surprise she's change a lot. And so I write some message just to say hi and hoping to hear from her soon. Sir Sam call my attention for not listening. I was so embarrass..At the end of the class he still give me my certificate. And I ask an apology.

Today is our first day training in OWWA/DOLE. A free computer course for OFW’s and their families. This program called TULAY. They offer different course for my two days I take this course first. Computer Fundamental. This course introduces us also the fundamental concepts of hardware and software components. The course provides as introduction to and overview of word processing, spreadsheets, presentation software and
Internet related tools. Our trainor named Samon Quinones Ras. Twenty units , so one unit each students. For our first day our trainor read us the rules and regulation inside the laboratory. The program is good for two days only..
