Good Morning sunshine!


Early in the morning my friend Melda called me, she ask me if I would like to harvest tomatoes and peas and said sure why not never try yet.. I when there and we bring 3 buckets.  At Ms. Cidy yard we stop and keep digging. I ask ate Mel, for I though we will getting tomatoes..yeah! but we have to get some garlic. What makes me amaze was there are lots of garlic in that ground. and I ask them I bet you don't have any snake on your yard , cause the snake don't like the smell of the garlic. I got home late yesterday. Eric he was wondering where am I, cause usually I don't stay late outside specially I'm driving because I'm scared I will hit by the deer. ;)

Last month we went to Atlanta for our biometric appointment. We also invited our friends Kenia and her kids and Shaun to go with us. For our biometric it only takes 15 minutes, because of the people there they are so accommodating. So as what our plan for that day we went to the world of Coca-cola . It was our first time and it's so amazing there are 60 plus beverage around the world. We enjoy a lot their 4D theater . We learned the secret formula , it was a adventurous movie...how they make that drinks taste good! And also their collection from different  country, unfortunately there's no  Coke from Philippines. ;( 
But still we really enjoy tasting the drinks from different country..my favorite flavor  was the pineapple Fanta from Greece. Did you know how old is the Coca-cola? it's 125 year old.

So much with that, it's time to eat for our lunch we went to the Mediterranean restaurant. most of us we got the Shawarma. Like the meat but for me I'm craving the one in the ph. specially the  spicy sauce.yummy! It was a great day for us, a two hours travel it's worth..♥

It's been a while that I didn't work or update my blog. Because we're so busy, going to the baseball field do practicing for Lorenz's  up coming tornament. I don't have enough time even for my self. Sometimes I want to scream , specially now a days it's so hot and dry...omg I'm getting darker! Anyways, we used sunblock also for protection and drink more water.

But what shall I do, we have to support our son. As what my hubby said " it's so nice that he have that determination" like some of the kids during summer time they just sitting down on the front of the computer playing or watching TV. But for us we give Lorenz time to play any games he wants , and he have time to refresh like practicing his math and writing cursive..and also he can spend nights with his friends. I think this summer Lorenz he enjoy alot.

Lorenz was crowned as the 2nd King. It was our first time to joined in this organization and of course we don't have enough supporter or friends..the mechanics of this event  if  he/she will make the most "money" he/she will be the King Contantino & Queen Elena. Anyways, it was a great experience for us especially for our son. We enjoy and we really entertained. My friends they are so thankful that we invented them to witness the Filipino culture...

Saturday: we went fishing at Kennedy Pond. With ate Melda and the  Hobbs family , Connor's and the Weil's  family.

That was Lorenz and Cruz. Lorenz his trying to teach Cruz how to make a paper boat. I'm so proud of my boy he never forget what his grad pa (lolo) teach him. And now look at him he share what we knows.♥)

These two boys, they feel bored because they was not able to caught a fish... now what a smart idea! Make paper boat to float, race and play with. =)

Anyways, Eric he caught 2 pcs. of fish ..I help cleaning the fish, it was so slippery...Dinner we're having a fish party , fried fish , fresh fries, salad and chicken finger..yummO!

We had our yard sale April 1 &2 at my neighbor's yard. It  was my first time having a yard sale.It was Me, Sujenny , Kenia and Rowena's idea that we will do together the yard sale.

Rowena and Me when we went to Mississippi we bought old T-shirt  $1  for 20 pcs. , shoes .50 cent per 1pair and much more it's cheaper there...

So Friday April 1 it was our first day for our yard sale , and the weather is not that  good . The wind been blowing but still people buying some of our things.  We'll probably have 15 -30 people stop and shop with us.
People looking for bargains. It have been very successful. In our second day April 2 more people coming. As what I observer people buying more furniture than clothing. Well, as long they can use it , buy it!

With this economy crises we have to be practical...save for the future! quenn

Thanks god it's Friday!

Tonight is not a good night for my son Lorenz. Has been hit by a ball (baseball) it bounce on the ground and it hit to his right eye. This is the first time Lorenz has been hit that hard.. Hopefully there's nothing wrong or "concussion ".

Anyways, tonight we have a family get together at my mother in law's  house. Her granddaughter was here to visit her family. Leslie, she a fashion designer at LA and she mention to us wants to put up a lil boutique. How time flies so fast. Today is the first day of March 2011! Each day I feel I'm getting older & older!

Anyways, that was life is..just enjoy each every day & cherish it. Rowena & Me last month we tried to search for a job , but unfortunately it wasn't good. Because 'til now we never heard from the company.

Last Monday ate Melda told me if ever you can't find a job , enrolled to the  cosmetology school. At Americus  Tech School. The gov.will give you allowance.  As what she heard from her sister in law the beauty trade is booming in Georgia, from Atlanta to Augusta to Athens. Ate Mel told me it's your opportunity already your from Georgia, you have to try your luck. Cosmetology is to show your skills and abilities. This is the only job that you can help to transform peoples life, like styling, cutting, coloring, perming, fitting wigs, scalp treatments, and hair treatments. These are all we need sometime we have to take good care of ourselves or give time for yourself after all those hard days work. make over!

educational weekend

Last weekend we went to Coca-Cola Space Science Center. It was our first time there and it was nice and definitely educational..especially for the kids who love science, spaceships and everything! The price is affordable adult $ 6, children (4-12) $3 and of course for military/ Senior $ 5 ☻
That was our educational experience with their interactive lobby display. We're amaze at their Omnisphere Theater, it's so cool! but makes us dizzy. That time they show us the seven wonders of the world it was so nice. There's a lil girl she felt asleep, maybe she's felt dizzy while watching the seven wonders of the world " stars".=) After, we went to the river walk..It was our second time , but for David and Rowena it was their first time..it was a nice weather, sunny there are lot's of people riding bikes , walking and picture taking. We just enjoying our weekend and live life to the fullest!☺

Last week I tried to change the shoes to the store but unfortunately they don't have this in the store, you can only see this online. This few days I'm being nosy,I used my son FB acct then I tried to search the name of his "father", and there I found it plus the wife! One thing I notice their common is their nose & forehead! Because I also found the brother when I saw his pic that make me laugh..lol


Now just being so nosy and curious I made up a new FB acct,of course I'm not using my real name..lol Just to try to see his half "sister or brother" & cousins, because we never now they will meet somewhere along..God forbid they will fall in love!right?
I don't know every time I saw their pics, everything will flash back on me, maybe because I still have this scar in my heart. Anyways, I will give updated if they will accept my friend request for them.

hardwood flooring

What a cold night!It's been raining this few days. Good Mr. Bill the plumbing man he fixed our floor last week. We've been complaining to our landlady, finally she called Mr. Bill to fixed it. We rent this house and it's already old, so there are some parts of the house need to be fix..specially our bath room the floor it's so bad , in our bed room & Lorenz bath room. So the coldness outside it will go inside the house..our electric bill is so high last month!

Since this house is so old they change the flooring into a Laminate hardwood flooring, and now it's so nice inside the house, it looks amazing what a floor can do...Mr. Bill chose chose that fits us, because Eric & me we love woods, maybe because he notice that most of our furniture are made of woods!

I don't have any idea what PDF means, when I read over it's a Portable Document Format. I'm a computer major but I was not updated what are the new programs in the computer now a days...I need to refresh and be updated of everything in the world of science(programing) and more...Honestly this word PDF library it's new to me..I'm glad that I encounter new today!
As what I have read he state an example of PDF: He said " some designers generate PDF documents from their page layout applications and send the PDF documents to customers so that they can view and proof the design without having the same software and fonts installed." I was sound simple and easy work..

BINGO

Here in our town Preston , the senor citizen they're having their BINGO on Friday. One time my mother in law invited me to call the number, it was so funny that their are some old ladies, because it's not their lucky day they're pissed off! They will never win the game at all!!!

Each one of them will bring food to be share to everybody and they will eat together, it was nice to see them, enjoying their day playing & talking.
Last week I ask my mother in law, do you think they will come to play BINGO this coming Friday, because the weather is not good you'll..I suggested how about you will play at this site they have a bingo sites and you'll will stay home and you don't need to go out and you'll be keep in warm too!

Time flies so fast! Sunday, the Cebuano's celebrating the fest of the Sr. Sto Nino. As what my mom said there are lots of people, it's so crowded in the pilgrim. More & more people like foreigners or people from other places coming, just see or to witness how the Cebuano celebrate his Feast! Mom said it was so wonderful to see more people and the decoration on the pilgrim it was so nice..

This morning I'm trying to check in my FB, if my friends from Cebu if they're posting some picture from the Sinulog in their photo albums. Eventhough I missed the Sinulog or the feast of Senyor Sto Nino, by looking at my friends photos it seems I was there also in the Feast..=)

It is nice that you have a photo album, because you can keep your memories and the past. But now a days there so many ways where you can create your album thru online or you still want the old ways...
